There is a common interest in enhancing the undergraduate learning experience, for example, by industry led projects, work placements and curriculum developments which respond to local and national economic priorities. The ultimate aim of enhancement is to enable undergraduate students to gain the ‘employability’ skills which employers seek within the context of an academic discipline. ‘Employability’ skills include self-management, team working, problem solving, communication and business awareness.
