Consultation on the proposal to introduce revised specifications in mathematics and further mathematics in September 2012
A working party is meeting in Wales on 6th July 2009 to discuss the proposal by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority to revise the specifications in mathematics and further mathematics from 2012 to align with the revised GCSE in mathematics being introduced in 2010. The QCA (Qualifications and Curriculum Authority) consultation on the draft criteria for AS/A levels in maths, further maths, use of maths and use of statistics is taking place from 17th April until Friday 10th July 2009. WIMCS has been invited by DCELLS (Department for Children, Education. Lifelong Learning and Skills), Welsh Assembly Government, to attend the GCE Maths criteria workshop and representatives from a university department of mathematics and departments which use mathematics are attending.
