Call for Institute of Physics Prizes (21 July 2009)
The Printing and Graphics Science Group of the Institute of Physics runs an annual Student Conference, and can make a £500 Grant to a student engaged in postgraduate research on a relevant topic. We also award an Annual Prize for a significant contribution, open to individuals and organisations.

We would be grateful if you could circulate this information to your colleagues, those potentially interested in other departments, and of course your research students. Feel free to print off the notices and display them.
The Group promotes the application of the physics involved in printing and graphic arts technologies, processes for imaging and manufacturing together with the related technologies of psychophysical testing, lighting, photovoltaics and smart packaging. Its activities include:
Conferences, technical meetings and visits to companies, laboratories and other venues.
Annual Student Conference.
Financial support for students via a grant and travel funds.
Annual prize for the best application of physics in the subject areas.
Annual Newsletter.
